Robert W. Rodriguez
Robert Rodriquez is a venture partner of Acuity Tech Solutions, Inc. and a consultant specialized in National Defense and the utilization of Guard and Reserve Forces.
Until 2009, Mr. Rodriguez was the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs), an office responsible for the supervision of the manpower, personnel and reserve component affairs for the Department of the Army. This included the development of manpower and reserve component policy and procedures. Additionally, he provided administrative guidance for human resources (civilian and military), equal opportunity, equal employment opportunity, training, readiness, mobilization, military health affairs, force structure, manpower management and other significant personnel areas of interest.
Prior to his appointment at the Department of the Army, Mr. Rodriguez was associated with the law firm of Lovell Stewart Halebian LLP in New York, NY where he specialized in securities and anti-trust class actions. Mr. Rodriguez attended Fordham University in Bronx, NY, receiving a BS degree. Mr. Rodriguez holds a MS degree from the University of Southern California and a MPP from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Mr. Rodriguez also attended Columbia University Law School in New York City where he earned a Juris Doctor degree. He is also a graduate from the Army War College with Master’s degree in Strategic Studies.
After receiving his commission through the ROTC program, Mr. Rodriguez served on active duty as an infantry officer. His active duty assignments included: USAREC, The Old Guard, Yongsan, Korea and Fort Carson, CO in which he served in infantry and personnel positions. Mr. Rodriguez continued his military service in the Army National Guard and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
